The Speed EV-9 is an ultra - high performance pure electric plug-in sports car. Nearly 10 years in the making, the Speed EV-9 was engineered from the ground up to give the owner blistering performance and low operating costs in a traditional roadster. Its revolutionary drive system combines two siamesed 11" electric DC motors with 108 lithium-ion phosphate cells to produce a staggering 332 bhp and 1119 lb/ft. of torque! With an estimated 250 mile range between charges (even higher in conservative driving) , the Speed EV-9 defines performance without guilt or compromise. Shown here is our final pre-production 1/4 scale model. 100 examples will be produced annually with deliveries scheduled to begin in January 2011.
