Absolutely! We are a dedicated group of automotive enthusiasts, engineers, and designers with over 150 years of combined automotive
experience. We're 100% committed to building an American-owned and operated automobile company like no other- building ultra high quality ultra high performance electric vehicles without equal.
-How come I've never heard of BE before?
Probably because we have been quietly developing the Speed EV-9 over the last nine years. Until recently, we have been entirely self-funded. While that means we don't have a fancy website or a jet or pay ourselves nine-figure salaries, it also means we can do some really cool things too- like give away a car, build a great green company, and take good care of our employees and the earth around us.
-Why should I join Team BE?
We are starting a grass-roots effort to lobby Congress to promote "green" manufacturing, electric vehicles, and stop unfair trade practices. Much is already being done, but we need your help!
-Don't you think that the US auto industry has lost it's way to the point of no return?
Absolutely not! The United States has always led the planet in industrial output, and it always will. We just lost sight of what is important, that's all. We forgot how important it is to make the best product you possibly can and price it competitively. We forgot the importance of taking care of the employees that serve us. For years, we made profits a priority over making a great product- and while we did, the rest of the world caught up, and in some cases, left us in the dust. While we may have stumbled, we will recover. The US auto industry has learned many valuable lessons and will be back better than ever!
-It seems like I've seen alot of electric vehicle manufacturers come and go over the years...why is that?
Many reasons. First of all, many of them meant well and had the best intentions-to save the planet and reduce our dependence on foreign energy- a noble cause, to be sure. Many of them simply had no idea what a daunting task it is to engineer a complete running automobile from the ground up. Many were undercapitalized, unskilled, and many simply had no business experience, or at least not enough to run a successful automobile company. At Bastian Electromotive, we have assembled the right team at the right time with the necessary tools and funding to get the job done. Our goal is to make BE a leader in EV development, manufacturing, and engineering for years to come.
